Value Based Pricing
Value Based Pricing
Hourly pricing can make creative work feel smaller than it is. It measures time, but it often misses the value of experience, judgment, taste, process, problem-solving, and the impact of the finished work. For many creators, pricing becomes a nervous calculation instead of a clear business decision.
Value Based Pricing helps creative professionals think more carefully about what their work is worth and how to price around value, not just hours. It is a practical guide for creators who want pricing that reflects the outcome they create, the clients they serve, and the business they are trying to build.
Price the value of the work, not just the time it took.
What It Does Best
This guide helps creators break out of the hourly-rate trap without pretending pricing is simple. It gives language to the tension many creative professionals feel: charge too little and the business becomes unsustainable; charge too much without clarity and the offer feels hard to explain.
The book helps readers understand that pricing is connected to positioning, client fit, outcomes, trust, and the perceived value of the work. It is not only a number. It is a signal about what the work is, who it is for, and what kind of result the client is paying to receive.
How It Works
The guide walks through the logic behind value based pricing and how it applies to creative services. It helps creators look at what clients actually value, how creative work supports business or personal outcomes, and how pricing can be shaped around impact rather than effort alone.
It also helps creators think about the supporting pieces that make value based pricing easier to trust: clearer offers, stronger positioning, better client communication, proof, process, and confidence in the value being delivered.
What's Included
Readers get a practical framework for understanding and applying value based pricing in a creative business. The guide covers pricing mindset, client outcomes, offer structure, perceived value, positioning, communication, and the difference between selling time and selling results.
It is built to help creators make better pricing decisions without sliding into inflated promises or vague premium language. The goal is grounded confidence, not bravado.
When you purchase through GarrhetSampson.com, you’ll receive both the digital ebook and the companion audio version at no extra cost. Read it at your own pace, listen on the go, and revisit the material in whatever format fits your life best.
Who Is It For?
This ebook is for photographers, designers, filmmakers, consultants, and creative service providers who feel limited by hourly pricing or unsure how to charge for the value they create. It is especially useful for creators moving into higher-touch work, strategic services, commercial clients, or more refined offers.
It is also helpful for anyone who knows their pricing needs to mature alongside their skill, experience, and positioning.

In Conclusion
Pricing shapes the way clients understand your work. When pricing only reflects time, the deeper value can disappear. When pricing is tied to clear outcomes, strong positioning, and client trust, the business has more room to become sustainable.
Value Based Pricing helps creators build that shift with more clarity and less guesswork.
